The Gardens & Lunch with a Dear Friend!

As I'm sure a lot of you don't know but we are back in Singapore!  But, wait - not for long.  We are just here for a week; Paul is co-paneling a discussion at a conference.  It's been a wonderful experience and I'm so proud of him!
It's kind of weird to be back but familiar.  I could definitely live here and speaking of that, I saw one of my dear friends, Y, yesterday.  It's always lovely to see her and looking forward to more time together!
The day before yesterday, we just spent time at the pool and enjoyed the weather.
But, yesterday, I went to one of my favorite haunts - The Singapore Botanic Gardens.  I don't think there is another place that offers so much peace.  I really enjoyed my time and even tried a bit of drawing, though I enjoyed taking pictures more (probably it's the instant gratification thing...).
I was sitting on a bench at Swan Lake and a Turtle swam right toward me - I almost missed him!  I got a little video of it...
I thoroughly enjoyed my time and got a few trinkets.  But, here are just a series of photos and one more video that moved me...

Isn't that funny - a plant called "Sexy Orange."  See below...

Fall Leaves - A Little Early...

We had the great opportunity last Friday to drive with my Mom to see the leaves change.  Though, we were a little early...but, we got some great shots of the day.  We really needed the break and enjoyed driving around the mountains.  Why don't we do that more often?!
At Lake Dillon
Here's a Panoramic View of Lake Dillon - Just click on the picture to see it bigger...
Mom was a wonderful sport wandering around the mountains with us; here's beautiful shot of her up in Breckenridge.  I actually didn't have her pose; I just didn't tell her when I took the shot - it really exhibits how Mom felt about the day - happy...

Have you ever seen a road sign like that?! Ha!
This is one of the last shots of the day...

Trees Trees Trees!!!!

Hi All - the trees are in.  Have a look at these beauties!  Next year they should fill out a bit, but if you look up Regal Prince Oaks up on the Internet you can see that they fill out nice and keep their leaves longer than most other deciduous trees.
We appreciate the crew and I think they enjoyed a cooler day for planting!

Enjoy the pictures as we enjoy the real trees FINALLY in our backyard!!!

You can even see the tip tops of the trees from our upper window - yeah!
