What movie was that from?! You would be right if you guessed “50 First Dates.” You hear this line in the first minute of the film. Pretty funny! But, the fruit pictured above is a little funny looking, don’t ya’ think? It’s actually Rambutan and quite tasty; in the picture below you’ll see how you peel it. There is a seed at the middle of fruit. The egg-shaped fruit’s texture is similar to Lychee; but, maybe for those who haven’t had Lychee, that doesn’t mean anything. So, maybe a better description is a cross between a grape & a pear. It has a very mild taste, not too sweet.
The other spoils from the Tekka Market were Persimmons, Mangosteens, Pineapple, Mango, Bananas, Apples, Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Coriander (Cilantro) & of course, flowers!
